Summer Pool Preparation Checklist

There are many things to do when preparing your swimming pool for the summer pool season. Tasks include everything from preparing the area surrounding the pool to preparing your swimming pool itself.

Having a list of all the tasks can make it much easier. That's what we have aimed to do with our Summer Pool Preparation Checklist.

Obviously, every pool area is different, but this is a great list to get you started.

Summer Pool Preparation Checklist:

Landscaping

• Trim bushes that could not be trimmed in the fall.

• Add mulch and rocks to garden beds as needed.

• Plant flowers in pots surrounding the pool area.

• Plant vegetable garden.

• Bring out and connect garden hoses.

• Spray yard and landscaping for bugs.

• Bring out mosquito machine and swamp cooler.

Furniture

• Clean all patio furniture and cushions.

• Put cleaned cushions on outdoor furniture.

• Put up pergola curtains.

• Clean all cabinets in outdoor kitchen.

• Uncover TV, barbeque and any other appliances.

• Put out all backyard statuary and sculptures.

Pool

• Clean pool cover.

• Uncover water features.

• Power wash all tile, concrete, etc.

• Call pool service to open and provide any summer maintenance.
